We are pleased to present the SC50, a second-generation Satellite Compass that makes use of cutting-edge GPS Kinematic technology from Furuno. The performance of the satellite compass is unaffected by factors like ship speed, latitude, geomagnetism, etc. Even when bridges or tall buildings block satellite signals, this hybrid integration of GPS receiver technology and a 3-axis solid-state rate sensor provides accurate and constant direction information. Accuracy is unaffected by G-force or velocity, unlike traditional magnetic and gyro compasses. In addition, our use of a third GPS antenna improves accuracy while lessening the impacts of pitch, roll, and yaw as compared to competing GPS-based compass systems that only use two antennas.
